Southern primaries, 2012 In 2012 the Republican Party had to find a candidate to run for president in the United States. During the primaries, candidates of the same party are campaigning against each other in hope to win the candidacy to run for president. The backbone of these campaigns is the volunteers who are trying to get their candidate elected. Ordinary people full of passion who commit to that goal, waving signs on crossroads, making phone calls in tiny rooms, hoping to convince others to vote. These photographs are taken in the Southern states, a journey looking for those volunteers and supporters through Phoenix that proceeded to Oklahoma, Mississippi, Louisiana and ended in Dallas, Texas.
